Below is just a green buoy located off the coast of Maine by Tenants Harbor. You can see (starting from the top) the wire wips to keep the birds off, the solar panel, the green light, the #1 marking the buoy, and near the bottom the gong and knockers for it.
Here is an example of a buoy with three bells on it.
