Spring Point Ledge Light located just west of the Portland Head Lighthouse. This light was originally built in 1855 and rebuilt in 1875. The tower was completely replaced in 1897. In 1934 the light was converted to electricity. In 1951 the 900 foot breakwater was constructed connecting the shore to the lighthouse.
